How many people do you know that love their pets as much as they would kids? These people really want a nice picture of their adorable pets, or babies. Offer to take pictures of their precious pets, so that they can have displayable portraits of them. This would probably be a good business to offer in their homes, so that their pets will be comfortable when you snap poses of them.

Be sure to offer several different poses and different sizes of pictures, including wallet size photos. Offer them several different package deals too. Since you know what it will cost you per package to develop and print them, you will know what your profit margin is on each package. People will usually pick a package because it is easier than ordering each pose and size.

This would be an excellent business idea for you, if you enjoy photography and have a good eye for providing portrait quality photos. If you use a digital camera and laptop computer, you will be able to take a good look at the shots you have and then offer to show the poses to your customers. They will be happy to be able to look at the pictures right away and not have to wait for proofs to look at in a week or so. If you choose to do this, you will need to charge for each portrait session. This way, you will be paid for taking the pictures and for your time. If they decide to buy the pictures, or framed portraits, you can include the session fee at a discount.

If you have a good quality photo printer, you can print them up yourself and deliver the photos quickly. You may even be able to print them right there if you choose too. You will just need to carry all of your supplies with you, including, frames, and such for the portraits. This would be easy to do with the use of a van, as your vehicle.

Your customers will be happy to have you come to them. This will allow you to charge a little more, but you will need to pack and carry all of your supplies in your vehicle. Including, backdrops, extra lighting, and back up cameras just in case one isn't working properly. Make sure you are prepared for anything that might come up.

If you have the skills to cut, mat, and mount pictures in frames you will have a great fast business, and you will be able to make good profits instead of sharing them with your print and mounting providers. This could be an enjoyable profession, which should keep you busy for quite some time.

Remember that just like kids, pets do age and may need their pictures taken again so keep your customers on a mailing list and offer specials for them occasionally. This can easily assure you of return business; they might even adopt another pet and need your services again.

Offering your services and leaving advertising in Veterinarian offices, and pet shops is probably the best way to advertise. However, be sure to advertise wherever you think there would be a higher population of pet loving people. Some times areas that have large amounts of people that have retired can be a good choice for this business too.
