To make this a profitable business for yourself, you of course have to charge for these services. Something to the tune of perhaps $25 per photo will be reasonable. You do not have to make much of an investment for this business. Of course, you will need a computer and software to make these alterations. You will also have to have some imagination and a capacity of creating pictures that make the baby in the picture look even cuter.
Instead of starting this job on your own, you could perhaps offer your services to a few photo service centers. By working with these stores, you can gain some experience and in due course, start your private services. If you start out on your own, you will need to do some marketing to display your genius in creating memorable photos. You could have some pamphlets printed up to distribute in photo shops, studios, doctor's offices, shopping malls, your neighborhood, and any other areas where you find many people. This is because baby photos are a delight to look back at when the babies grow bigger.
