Women Wanting A Baby
Women Wanting a Baby
Pregnancy is such a special and magical time in the life of a woman. There are many busy women, of all ages and found in all walks-of-life, who are hoping to become pregnant. Some have a vague notion of the mechanics involved, but need more information on ovulation and other factors predicting the most opportune times for this to happen. Most women in these circumstances are appreciative of discretion and yet are hard pressed to find the time necessary to research their options, or research resources available to them to aid them in their journey.
The U.N. is projecting that the human population will reach nearly 9.2 billion by the year 2050—up from nearly 6.7 billion today. The organization, "Population Action International" states: "Even if global fertility were to decline to a two-child average, so many young people are entering their reproductive years that momentum alone will cause population to continue to grow for at least a few decades." Imagine what a huge market there is for pregnancy related products!
Offer a wide array of kits, full of information and products (such as appropriate at-home tests) for women trying to become pregnant and offer to ship these kits in discreet packaging that, with the click of a mouse key, could quickly and easily be delivered right to their door. Your fee will depend on what you put into the kit. You might offer a kit, which includes a book on pregnancy, or one on fertility, as well as a home ovulation predictor test and pregnancy tests. There are many tests in varying price ranges available on the market. You could create a kit with the least expensive kits available on the market as well as offer a kit with the "higher end" tests, such as those with digital readouts. Be sure to include 'fun' items such as candy to help with morning sickness, pacifiers, and newborn baby clothing items such as hats and booties.
Include such things in your various kits as medical brochures on the mechanics of fertilization, aids for morning sickness, advertisements for baby announcements, contact information for lines of maternity clothing. (Include information on more "high end" designers and manufacturers in the kits that have the more expensive testing supplies and more popular, widely available maternity lines to the more inexpensively priced kits.) Include information on online discussion groups and forums on fertilization as well as online pregnancy calculators. Many women do not even know that such resources exist and would be very grateful for such a referral! Also, be sure to include information relating to male fertility, as they are often an important part of the process!
There is an endless supply of books and reading material, which could be included in these kits; from books of baby names, books on fertility challenges, pregnancy journals, week-by-week calendars, or the ever-popular classics such as "What to Expect When You're Expecting" by Heidi Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg, and Sandee Hathaway.
With the ovulation predicting tests, (sometimes called; Fertility Monitor Test Sticks), you might want to offer book titles such as:
"Taking Charge of Your Fertility, 10th Anniversary Edition: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health" by Toni Weschler or "The Fertility Diet" by Jorge Chavarro, Walter C. Willett, and Patrick J. Skerrett, or "The Essential Fertility Log: An Organizer and Record-Keeper to Help You Get Pregnant" by Suzanne Schlosberg or "Fertility for Dummies" by Jackie Meyers-Thompson and Sharon Perkins.
You may want to offer kits including gift sets of books like What to Expect Gift Set: "When You're Expecting & What to Expect the First Year", Third Edition by Heidi Eisenberg Murkoff, Arlene Eisenberg, and Sandee E. Hathaway. Another kit idea would be for the man whose partner is trying to become pregnant. Include appropriate brochures to educate the fertility process, ovulation kits for their partner, and appropriate books to further their education on supporting their partner through the process such as: "The Expectant Father: Facts, Tips and Advice for Dads-to-Be", Second Edition by Armin A. Brott, "What to Expect When Your Wife is Expanding: A Reassuring Month-by-Month Guide for the Father-to-Be, Whether He Wants Advice or Not" by Thomas Hill and Cader Books, or "My Boys Can Swim!: The Official Guy's Guide to Pregnancy" by Ian Davis.
You might also offer kits for planning baby showers. This would be an exciting addition to your collection of kits and would attract both those seeking to become pregnant as well as customers that have close friends and family members who are trying to get pregnant, or are already expecting their first child. Include a book on shower games, cute party favors, party invitations, or baby layettes.
Your service of providing information and supplies to a woman seeking to begin their own unique magical journey can be helpful and fun and surely will be well received!
