Shaping the brows is not easy work, especially doing it on yourself, unless you know how to shape them professionally. Offer to shape womens’ eyebrows and come to their home or office to accomplish it for them. This should be quite appealing to most women that want perfect brows.
Since this is a personal care service, it is advisable for a woman to have a business offering this service to other women. Many men can also improve their looks by shaping their brows, but it might be safer to offer this service to couples if you would like to shape men's brows too. Offer to do couples brows for a discount price. Maybe offer the second brow shaping for half off the normal price. Remember that men can have pretty unruly brows and might take more work than a woman's brows.
You can also offer your services to groups, such as at parties. Offer to do the hosts brows free if they invite at least five more guests that will pay for having their brows shaped at the party. Make sure that you keep up-to-date with your services. Bring pictures of different brow shapes for people to choose from or so they can show you what they prefer. You could offer some fun games for your host to play with their party guests, while you are shaping brows of someone in another room. Bring large pictures of brows of famous people and see who can guess best, whom they belong too. If this is too hard, you could include the eyes of these famous people too. Don't forget to include famous cartoon characters and children's TV show and movie characters too, for a good laugh.
You should be able to charge about $40 per person to have their eye brows professionally shaped. Make sure that you genuinely know what you are doing. This could prove to be a great part-time or full-time 'business idea' for you. You can decide how much you business you want to do and when. Being your own boss can have many benefits.
Make sure that you keep good booking dates for your appointments and give yourself plenty of time to get from one customer to the next. You never want to arrive late to your next appointments; this is a bad business practice. It might be a good idea to call all of your appointments a day ahead of time too, to confirm your appointments with them. This will serve as a good reminder and may save you a trip to someone's home, which may have forgotten her appointment with you, a real irritation. Make sure that you let your customers know that they will have to pay a small fee for you making the trip if they forget to be there for their appointments. You may want to charge a traveling fee of about $10 for missed appointments.
