Once you have acquired the food source, for the distribution in the hotel or vacation spot, and the staff to help you with the distribution of the food, you should be able to have a successful business.

It would be an added advantage if you had some knowledge of hospitality management, catering, or some other culinary field. This is because with this knowledge, you will be able to know about food and the requirements of the food industry. Remember that the food service industry is a business that calls for a sizeable investment in vehicles for transporting the food and utensils to serve the food on.

It is very important that you use clean sanitized equipment for food service. The people working with you have to be reliable clean people so that you do not receive any complaints from sick guests. Make sure that the food you deliver is always fresh. All food you serve should to be prepared everyday so that your customers receive quality tasty food.

You should also invest in printing a menu with the foods and drinks you offer to deliver and have this menu distributed to the hotel guests. Possibly working with the hotels to provide a menu placed in each room so that the guests will be aware of the service you offer them during their stay. A regular check on the quality and freshness of food supplied to guests is an advisable food service practice also.

As the food service industry is huge, you will need to print business cards and pamphlets to distribute to hotels and clubs, and other places for large gatherings, with a necessity for food. Even creating a website advertising your services should get you many calls and inquiries.

Once you have established yourself as a safe and reliable food service provider, you could perhaps consider going one-step higher in the ladder of success and start a catering or restaurant business!
