Sweet Bouquets
Sweet Bouquets
How many times have you received a bunch of flowers or some generic gift that you neither needed nor wanted? People need a source for gift giving that they can be sure of will be loved and appreciated by the recipient.
Your customers need a gift that communicates that they put a little extra thought into the gift giving process. No one likes to look like the person that bought the first thing they found at a large impersonal department store. After all, it's easy to get the wrong color and size in a sweater. However, who doesn't like chocolates or other sweet scrumptious treats? Over a lifetime, the average woman will receive many bouquets of flowers that will wither and die, end up in the trash, and be quickly forgotten. However, a bouquet of sweet treats picked out just for her -- who could forget that? Yum!
Your business will be creating sweet bouquets full of delightful treats. You should set up a website full of colorful detailed pictures that illustrate examples of your bouquets and offer ideas for a personalized bouquet that your customer can request to be created for them. Keep in mind that everyone likes to get sweet treats! It doesn't matter if that person is a man or woman, child or adult, professional or stay-at-home mom, - everyone has a sweet tooth!
Your bouquets of sweet sentiments could include an endless assortment of fruit, cookies, and candies and be decorated in an infinite variety of ways.
You could purchase baked goods at a local bakery or mix them up yourself. Do you have a unique family cookie recipe that would really wow your customers? The great thing about cookies is that they can easily be created (and decorated) in different fun colors and shapes for any occasion (yellow flowers, pink swirls, brown-checkered squares, etc.)
Here are some varieties of cookies that you might want to include in your sweet bouquets:
Sugar cookies
Molasses
Snicker doodles
Chocolate chip
Peanut butter
Macadamia nut
Black and white cookies
Drop cookies
You will also want to include various candies in your tasty bouquets. You will likely want to have a wide range of treats on hand to include in your various bouquets ranging from brightly wrapped candies that remind the customer of their childhood favorites to traditional modern favorites. Be sure to also offer a wide range of chocolate delights. Your candy offerings would likely include some of these varieties as well as many others I'm sure you could think of:
Taffy
Rock candy
Candy necklaces
Gumdrops
Candy buttons
Fizzy candy
Jellybeans
Fudge in a variety of flavors
Suckers and Lollipops in various sizes and colors
Packaged candy bars
Jars of M&M's
Chocolate dissolving coffee spoons
Decadent gourmet Swiss chocolates
Chocolate bars in varying degrees of cocoa content (chocolates from different regions of the world)
Chocolates in the shape of long stemmed roses, surrounded by sprigs of babies breath
Exotic chocolate dipped chili peppers
Gourmet chocolate truffles
Chocolates melted and formed into the shapes of bunnies, frogs, chicks, teddy bears, and people
Your sweet bouquets should have a visually pleasing arrangement of cookies and other sweet treats and perhaps a sprinkling of flowers for more color and texture amidst the sweets. The arrangements can be wrapped in large colorful bows, packaged in festive boxes, flower pots, or fun planters in the shape of a pair of rain boots or an upside-down umbrella, brightly colored baskets, bright yellow vintage toy trucks, oversized coffee mugs and teapots. You really are only limited by your imagination. How will you make yours unique and creative? You would likely also want to offer a selection of themed bouquets for your customers to choose from, or offer to create a personalized bouquet using a selection of ingredients that your customer can choose from, to ensure that the resulting sweet bouquet really is a unique, one-of-a-kind and is personalized for the recipient, or a specific occasion.
Here is a list of potential occasions or themes that you could create a sweet bouquet for:
Anniversary
House warming
New baby
New job
Just because
I am sorry
Congratulations on a work promotion
Congratulations on buying your first home
Queen for a day
Graduation
Keep up the good work
"Naughty" love and romance sweets
Sugar-free
Over-the-hill
Get well soon (should definitely include a box of chocolate bandages!)
You may also want to design a selection of bouquets that would be appropriate as an executive gift. You could even create bouquets with color themes. For instance, a spray of red chocolate roses, candy hearts, and red suckers accompanied by playful pink faux-feathered birds could really be visually pleasing.
You could create a black and white themed bouquet using a small contrasting colored enameled bucket as a base and fill it with black and white cookies, white and black taffy, licorice, white and black gum drops, sugar cookies with white and black sprinkles, and some small plastic penguins for a playful touch. Then you could finish it off with some decorative ribbons and a card and 'viola' you will have provided your customer with a sweet bouquet that is fun and tasty and that they will find nowhere else on earth!
Remember that these bouquets can be topped off with a variety of decorations that range from formal to fun and zany. These can include:
Paper doilies
Easter grass
Small-feathered faux birds
Lace & ribbons
Plastic decorative flourishes
Small brightly colored plastic zoo and farm animals
Tapered candles & votives
Gauze fabric
Translucent foil papers
Mini balloons
Be sure to add a link to your website that allows people who speak languages other than English to easily navigate and understand it. Several websites will perform this free if you simply add their small bit of code to your website.
