They do have state and federal laws to abide by, but they may not know them well enough and are scared to do anything for fear of getting in trouble. They will be so relieved to find that you can offer them the services they need for a price, they can afford; much less than what a lawyer would charge them.

Assure the property owner that with your help there should be no mistakes. This business choice requires you to be well educated in your local and state laws. You will need to know and memorize your state's eviction laws and regulations. Make sure that you know how they may apply to each property owner's separate case. Only offer your services in localities that you are sure you understand and can help with.

Once you prove to be a reliable source of help for property owners, they will come to you by referrals from happy customers. Until you reach this point, you will need to advertise to property owners. Investing in printed post-cards for this could prove to be a good investment. If this is too expensive for your taste, invest in business cards and introduce yourself to the individual property owners in your area that might need your services occasionally. Make sure that you dress appropriately in some form of business suit when doing this.

A flat fee is best for this type of service, so you might want to charge about $100 for your services. This amount can vary depending on where you live and how much money you are saving the property owner. Knowing what a lawyer would charge for this service would be helpful in deciding what to charge also. It would be also helpful to know when you are talking to your future clients, to show how much money you could save them if they chose to work with you. This could prove to be an enjoyable profession and 'business idea," if it sounds appealing why not try it. You may be very happy that you did.
