Legal Courier Service

Legal Courier Service

In this type of service, you would be working for lawyers. You'll need to be able to bring documents various places to be signed, bring them back, file paperwork with a court, etc. You could charge$100 per day, or $500 a month. You will need a police clearing check. Just contact your local police station and they'll let you know what you need to do. Get a lockable box (fire safe would be even better) and carry your client's documents in this box.

This is the business idea for you, as long as you are reliable, trustworthy, persistent, and able to follow the directions of how to file paperwork with courts, and have reliable safe transportation. Because you'll need to be able to bring documents to various places to be signed, bring them back, file paperwork with different courts, etc. This is a great job for someone that is able to be on time and not easily distracted by other things until the job is finished.

You might be wondering what you could charge for offering a service such as this, you should be able to charge $100 per day of work or $500 a month, on call when you are needed. It is amazing to think that you could make this much money providing a service like this, but it is true.

In order to start a business like this you will need an extensive background check in order to show that you can be trusted with important legal documents. You can go to your local police department and find out how to go about documenting your excellent police record. This will help others to know that you are capable of offering a sensitive serious service that they can trust you will do for them.

In order to keep these important legal documents safe while they are in your trusted hands you should make an investment in a lockable box or case, (A fireproof safe or briefcase would be even better) and carry your client's documents in this safe box or briefcase at all times.

You will also need to prepare for a lot of traveling in carrying out this type of work. So make sure that you invest in a reliable, comfortable, vehicle that is economical on gas. You will probably be spending at least half of your work hours in this vehicle. Keeping the paperwork in a trunk out of sight is probably a good idea too. This would be an excellent place to secure down a lock-box also, so that it would be very difficult for someone to carry the whole lock-box away from the car with paperwork inside of it.

This is also a type of business that would be good to always carry business cards with you, so that you can leave them with possible new clients when you are busy working. You should also dress well just like the business people that you are working for, since you will be frequenting lawyers' offices and courthouses. If you want people to take you seriously, you need to dress the part. Your success in this type of business can depend a great deal on your choice of business dress, this does not mean that you need to spend a lot of money on your clothes, just make sure that you are dressed in clean pressed business clothes. Also, pay close attention to your hair and shoes. Make sure that they are clean and well maintained. Remember, with your shoes, you will be doing a lot of walking, so make sure that you wear practical styles that you can stand in line in and walk long distances in too. The wrong shoes could make your job very painful.
